Be filled with God's Word.

Are you hungry for God's will? Be filled with God's Word.
1 John 2:17 tells us, “And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” How can we know the will of God?
We must study the Word of God, as it reveals His will for our purpose, actions and attitudes. To be filled with the knowledge of God's will, we must be filled with His Word. God's Word is His will! Lack of knowledge of God's Word spells ignorance of His will and that is a disaster for any Christian.

Learn from the Master, our Lord Jesus Christ. Luke 2:52, "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” Jesus knew God’s Word. He operated in God’s Word. Not even once did He give in to the lust and temptation. He spoke and lived the Word of God. He was in the world but the world was not in Him. He was in the will of God.

There is no way we can fulfill God's will if we don't know what it is. Do you have a desire for God's will? Jeremiah 29:13 says, "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Seeking the Lord with all your heart is studying and abiding in His Word.

Living victoriously

A Christian life without the power of God is impossible. Think about it; there is no such thing as victorious Christian living without a constant dependence upon the Spirit of God. In order to be successful we have to depend on the Holy Spirit moment by moment, hour by hour, day by day.

Jesus never gives us an assignment without anointing us with the power of the Holy Spirit. In Matthew 28 Jesus gives us the great commission but He does not send us helpless.

In Acts 1 Jesus says, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

He says in John 14:26, "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you"

Jesus is the best teacher that ever lived, yet His disciples had very little understanding because they were not born again. But when they received the Holy Spirit, He lead them into all truth and even showed them things to come. John 16:7

Jesus instructs us to receive the Holy Spirit because He knows we need Him to live the life He called us to live. Therefore my dear sister/brother, remember to surrender and submit to the Holy Spirit. Be diligent in your daily living as you let Him be your mentor.

What is your vision?

Success begins with a vision. God's Word says in Proverbs 29:18 "Where there is no vision, the people perish...."
When you read the Bible you find God's written goals. He wrote down what He wanted to happen and He wants us to do the same. It is crucial that we study and abide in His Word because the Holy Spirit reveals our purpose to us through God's Word. Check out what the Word says in Habakkuk 2:2 "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it."
I got a wild revalation from this scripture 'if I write my vision down then the right people or person God wants to share my vision will be able to see it and participate.'

Our success is in Jesus

Many of us find ourselves in the same conflict as Peter, though confident of ourselves yet doing the opposite. In Matthew 26:33 "Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended." However, the same night, he denied Jesus three times, how distressed he must have been!

Don’t be devastated when you fail in some area that you thought you are strong. Though your spirit became new, your mortal body needs continual saving through the renewing of your mind and doing the Word. You are always faced with the battle against the works of the flesh. Yes you should be concerned when you fail but remember what Paul said in Romans 7:18 "in my flesh dwelleth no good thing," Any good thing starts in your spirit and gets into your flesh through the renewing of your mind.

Our loving Father is faithful, just get back into the spirit through confession and forgiveness of self and of others, and through the Word renew your mind. Don’t dwell on the failure dwell on the love of our Lord who forgave us and continues to forgive us.

In spite of Peter’ failure, the Lord used him mightily. But Peter knew that the glory belonged to the Lord.
Always remember in Him we have the Holy Spirit our mentor and He always leads us into triumph. God’s grace abounds more than our sin.

Do you want to live a successful Christian Life?

Success in the Christian's life depends on the renewing of your mind.
Galatians 5:16 "Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh." In order to be delivered and set free from the lust of the flesh, you have to walk in the Spirit.

John 6:63 The Spirit gives life the flesh has nothing, no profit, no benefit. The Word in the Bible is spirit

Renew your mind

Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

Our faith grows as we grow in the Word of God. And I have learnt that victory springs from the renewing of our minds. Think about it; How will you hear the voice of the Holy Spirit without renewing your mind? Can you genuinely speak to the mountain without a renewed mind?

I was wondefully made

Psalms 139:14
"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."

Fear

God gave us a survival instinct which the world calls fear. But wait a minute, does this definition doesn’t line up with the Word of God?
God commanded us to fear Him and Him only. The revelation I got today was this: fear is reverence and anything or anybody you fear takes God’s place.
• You either fear God or something else.
• What you fear is what you reverence
• What you fear is what you idolize
• What you fear really becomes your god.

This is why God, repeatedly advises us not to fear.
Isa 44:8, "Do not fear, nor be afraid; Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one."
Deut.1:21, 20:3-4, 2Chron. 20:17, Isaiah 41:10, 13, 43:1, 5, 44:

Isaiah 11:3-4
“His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth”.
This type of fear gives God His place. It is waking by faith having confidence in God and His Word. Doing His will regardless of what it looks like or feels like.
Jer 2:18, 3:8

This is Jesus’ advice from Matthew 10:28, "8 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
