Are you honoring God with your body?

Sometimes I feel like eating whatever I please regardless of the consquences?  I bet you do too. Have you noticed though that as soon as you get the urge to, you also get a nudging not to?  Your spirit listens to the Holy Spirit residing on the inside of you. He, the Holy Spirit is always reminding you that your body belongs to God. It was bought with a price; bought by the precious blood of Jesus. Of course God wants us to enjoy His abundant provisions. We can even create delicious delicacies from these great wholesome foods; but what we cannot afford to do is stuff our bodies, God's temples with junk (whenever we please).

Do you know that one way of honoring God is to present your body to Him as you treat it with respect and keep it in good condition?

Preach the Word of God

2 Timothy 4:2-5 NIV

Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

Our commission is to preach the gospel, to share God's love and also to encourage each other to walk like Christ. How are you keeping your body, God's temple? Are you a good steward?

Are you drinking enough water?

Hydrating your body can make a difference between healthy joints and joint pains or between obesity and a healthy weight, between feeling tired and staying energetic & vibrant. Depriving your body of quality water is a choice that may lead to serious problems especially as you advance in years. Do you know that water is one of the great natural life bursting necessities our loving Father provides for our optimum health? You are constantly faced with a choice between a blessing and a curse, health and disease. What will you choose?

How do we honor God?

God honors those who fear (honor) Him. How do we honor God?
Love, trust and obey Him

God's Word does not return to Him void

"I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who is near," Says the Lord, "And I will heal him." Isaiah 57:19 NKJ

Last week I had some challenges with my back. The pain was quite intense but I do praise God, for His Word on our lips and in our hearts works wonders. I was so encouraged and inspired by both Isaiah; 55:10-11 and 57:19 that now my back is as good as new.
Glory be to His Name

Called to be like Him

We can enjoy heaven on earth. We are called to be like Him in this world. Are you going to wait after you leave? How are you going to accomplish what He planned for you before the foundation of the earth?

Returning God's Word to Him

This week I had some challenges with my back but I was so encouraged and inspired by these scriptures from the book of Isaiah; 55:10-11 and 57:19.

“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” NIV

God's Word on our lips brings: peace, health, healing and prosperity. How awesome!
