Stay on fire but don’t get burned out
Mark 6:31, "And he said to them, ‘Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place, and rest a while’: for there were many coming and going, and they not even have time to eat."
Are you on fire for God? That is a good thing. In our scripture, Jesus calls His disciples apart, most likely to eat and rest. Of course Jesus and His disciples were on fire for God, they were doing God’s business, but they still needed the rest.
Are you neglecting the need of resting your physical body? If you fail to give yourself the needed rest, you will probably get burned out. Do you know that you can cut your life short if you don’t get rest? Jesus and His disciples were going to this isolated place to get away from the multitude for awhile and rest. This rest was not optional, it was a matter of necessity.
Many times we fall into the devil’s trap, and keep ourselves so busy that we even fail to fellowship with God and draw from our Fountain of life. We don't take time to be still and know God (Ps. 46:10)? Remember, the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy. If he fails to stop you from getting on fire for God, he'll try to get you burned out.

Get out of the boat; walk in God's power
"And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus." Matthew 14:29
There is great power in God’s Word. Look around you, God created the worlds through His Word and that is how He operates. Amazingly, the exceeding greatness of God's power is for us and at our disposal. In this scripture, Jesus uses the word "Come" to open the door for Peter's miracle. The Word is for our benefit. But of what use is it to us if we don’t know it? And of what benefit is it if we know that it has God's power but fail to utilize it?
This great power of God is in His Word. It is effectual only to those who believe it, take it by faith and walk in it without doubting. Unfortunately many Christians only know God's power but never walk in it. They stay in their comfort zone even as they quote God’s Word.
As you continue reading Matthew 14, you find that Peter did not only hear Jesus’ word "Come" but he put it into action. Of all the twelve disciples in the boat only Peter asked for a miracle, only Peter took Jesus at His Word and he was the only one to walk on the water. The others saw Jesus and Peter walking on the water but none of them took the step to participate.
Do you know that your life could be a walking miracle if you took God at His Word? One of the important steps in receiving a miracle from God is to and put yourself in a position where you can receive and be sustained. Leave your comfort zone, forget the security of your natural resources, that means 'get out of your boat and walk in faith without doubting'. God is no respecter of persons (Rom. 2:11).
NOTE: Do you have a word of inspiration? Please share with us. And if you need any help or answers don't hestate to ask. We will dig into the Word together and find the solution with the help of the Holy Spirit our Mentor.

Don’t fall for emotional highs
“If it feels good it is right” But is it good for you? Most of our health problems today stem from this mentality. It tastes good therefore I must have it. I don’t like the taste; it is not sweet enough, and so on.
Do you realize that being led by our senses and emotions, does not only affect our lives but the lives of our loved ones as well? Consider a mother who eats recklessly or smokes endlessly and ends up with health complications; her irresponsible acts will impact not only her life but also the lives of her children, husband and relatives. Emotional indulgences of any type can be destructive. God gave us senses and emotions for our good. Can we use them to lead a life of fullness and joy?
"Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." 1 Cor. 9:25-27

Walking in health
Thank You Holy Spirit for leading me and guiding me into all truth. Jesus is the Lord over my life therefore I present my body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. I am not conformed to this world but I am transformed by the renewing of my mind. My mind is renewed by the Word of God.
Father, Your word is health to my flesh and strength to my bones. I hold fast to my confession of Your Word and I stand firm, knowing that health and healing are mine, in Jesus' Name.
John 16:13, Romans 12:1-2, Proverbs 3:8

Our Loving Father God
Do you ever meditate or ponder on your relationship with the Father Jesus referred to as His Father over 150 times and as our Father over 30 times?
Jesus instructed us to pray this way: "Our Father, Who art in heaven...." This title has become so common in the church today that we rarely perceive its real significance. Many of us relate God to our earthly fathers which is alright until we equate His love and care to the flaws of our earthly fathers. Some of us can't wait for that opportune moment when we will be free and indepent of Him just like a fourteen year-old eagerly waits for his eighteenth birthday!
If we really took time to know our Loving Father God as Jesus wants us to; if we tried to understand the affectionate "Abba Father" Paul refers to in Romans 8:15, if we had a glimpse of the kind, gentle, loving nature of our God (1 Jn. 4:8), we would yearn to be in His presence and seek every oportunity to stay in His secret place and enjoy every moment of our life with Him.
This relationship goes beyond any human relationship we could ever have here on this earth. It is a relationship of belonging to the Father, who loves us because we are His.
Why don't you ask the Holy Spirit to fully reveal Him to you. He will show you how to run to Him, drop all pretense and formality, and take your place of a favored, blessed child."

Submit to the Holy Spirit
Father God, in the name of Jesus I thank You that I shall prosper and be in health even as my soul prospers. I trust in You Lord with all my heart and I do not lean on my own understanding but in all my ways I acknowledge You. I submit myself to Your Word which exposes, sift, analyzes and judges the very thoughts and purposes of my heart. I constantly renew my mind listen to the Holy Spirit as He directs my path. Amen.
3 John 2, Proverbs 3:5
"For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the [a]breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart."
